- Household food insecurity is also as high as 50% among slum/informal settlements
- Among poorest urban quartile in India, 31% households had a separate cooking space (SCS). Among the remaining population, 78.5% had a SCS.
- In Delhi: Among poorest quartile, 3.4% households had SCS. Among the remaining population, 76.3% had SCS.
- According to Govt. of India -NSSO 65th Round (2008-09) 49 % slums are non-notified in India
